Problem Note 43605: Web application unresponsive; server connection failure in log
When a user logs on to the SAS® Risk Management for Banking or SAS® Risk Management for Insurance Web application, several SAS processes are spawned on the SAS server machine. However, those processes are not killed when the user logs off of these Web applications (either manually or by forced timeout). Instead, the processes accumulate.
This build-up of SAS processes can result in all of the following:
- The Web application's performance suffers.
- Analysis tasks fail immediately during job creation (without generating any task log).
- The Web application becomes unresponsive. This generally results in a server connection failure error in the Web application server log.
As a workaround, restart the SAS server machine.
